Quirky, fun Dupont Circle-based NotionTheory is doing another quirky, fun thing.
The product design and development firm recently opened applications for its first “artist-in-residence” program.
“We are seeking artists with the potential to create multidisciplinary works of art that elevate our current understandings of the connections between art, technology, as well as design,” the company wrote in an announcement.
Selected artists will start a three-month residency on Feb. 1, culminating in some kind of “special event.” NotionTheory is offering a stipend of $1,000 per month to artists, but the residency does not cover living expenses.
Know a great, tech-interested artist? Applications must include some work samples, a project proposal and some sort of timeline for the project. All this is due by Jan. 1.
