New meetup alert: DC Women in VR

Virtual reality — it’s all the rage.
The New York Times recently invested in VR, launching NYT VR last week. Over the weekend, the Times partnered with Google to send Google Cardboard viewers to each of their home delivery subscribers.
And, in an article published yesterday, TechCrunch went all in and announced that “2016 will be the year of VR.”
So how can you get in on the action?
D.C. has a sizable cadre of VR enthusiasts to judge by the activity of the DC Virtual Reality Meetup group. The group describes itself as “the perfect place to learn more about [VR].”
Looking for something a little more specific, though?
For all the female VR fans out there, this DC Women in VR group might just fit the bill. The recently-founded group is “dedicated to connecting, empowering, and promoting women involved in virtual reality.”
