The second Congressional Hackathon is coming up soon

Are you a coder with a passion for modernizing government? If so, this hackathon might be the event for you.
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer will host the second Congressional Hackathon at the Capitol on Oct. 23.

The free event will focus on exploring how Congress can modernize and incorporate social media into its operations.


The first Congressional Hackathon was held almost four years ago, in December 2011. According to the Congressional Data Coalition, that hackathon “presented a fantastic opportunity for real conversations between staff, technologists, and advocates.”
