Steve Case announces new ‘Rise of the Rest’ tour at White House Demo Day

This fall, AOL cofounder Steve Case will tour the Northeast, investing in local startups along the way.

During today’s first White House Demo Day, Revolution CEO and AOL cofounder Steve Case will announce his fourth startup-centered road trip.
In the fall, the Rise of the Rest bus will be making stops in Baltimore (Sept. 28), Philadelphia (Sept. 29), Buffalo (Sept. 30), Manchester, N.H., (Oct. 1) and Portland, Maine. (Oct. 2).
Along the way, Case will meet with local entrepreneurs at fireside chats, happy hours and startup crawls and hold $100,000 pitch competitions.


Case plans to follow up in 2016 by touring five western cities in the U.S. He plans to invest a total $1 million in 10 cities.
In previous tours, including a South-bound spring trip, Case has travelled 3,000 miles and spent $1.5 million.
Partners in Rise of the Rest include Google for Entrepreneurs and Salesforce for Startups.
