How ProductSavvy is helping local startups with product development

The Rockville-based firm delivers “product bootcamp” programs to startups and is managing a local accelerator, Relevant Health.

Rockville-based ProductSavvy does product marketing, but it also does product development coaching. Business and tech, all in one. “Every one of us is actually covering both sides of the coin,” explained CEO Jonathan Chashper.

Too often, he said, startups forget to keep open the lines of communication between the business end and the dev team. “We can equally talk to the business side of the company [and] also translate that into the language of the developer,” said Chashper. “We come in and we provide what we call product bootcamp.”

With that approach, ProductSavvy has helped startups bring their products to market.

The company is managing Relevant Health, the new healthtech accelerator in Rockville, in partnership with BioHealth Innovation and Montgomery County. Other clients include New York-based GenePeeks and CORAnet, a Bethesda-based healthtech firm.

“You need to have a viable product,” said Chashper. “If you’re building something that does not build your business, don’t build it.”
