D.C.-based Full Measure Education has raised $5.5 million in a Series B round led by Wayne, Pa.-based Safeguard Scientifics, with North Carolina-based Bull City Venture Partners also participating in the deal.
Full Measure Education was founded in late 2013 by Greg Davies, a founding member of Blackboard. It envisions reducing the college dropout rate by developing schools’ communication strategies.
“By providing technology, communications strategies, and live student counselors to support students throughout the education life-cycle, we look forward to realizing fantastic gains in student completion,” he said in a press release Monday.
Erik B. Rasmussen, the managing director of technology at Safeguard, will be joining Full Measure’s board of directors. “We are excited to partner with Full Measure Education to solve the challenges facing higher education today,” he said in the release.
