Despite the fierce competition, everyone seemed to be having a blast. InTheCapital threw a party at the Howard Theater last Thursday night for its second annual 50 on Fire awards.

Sound the hyperbole siren:

An electric crowd of visionary and trailblazing companies and individuals descended on the The Howard Theatre for the second annual 50 on Fire awards and the celebration was hotter than ever. Shoutout to Magpi cofounder Joel Selanikio, who was a 2014 Healthcare & Medicine Winner. He also deserves some tech recognition for developing a health data collection app with cofounder Rose Donna. Magpi is helping health workers track the outbreak of the Ebola virus and many other diseases. Here’s the app’s story.
