Eisenhower Fellowships identifies, empowers & links outstanding leaders from around the world, helping them to achieve consequential outcomes across sectors & borders. EF provides a transformational experience leading to lifetime engagement in a global network, where dialogue & collaboration make the world more prosperous, just & peaceful.
We bring two groups of 20 outstanding mid-career Fellows (aged 32-45) drawn from 47 different countries to the U.S. annually for individually designed programs in the Fellow’s professional field. Fellows are identified by high-level in-country nominating committees and selected by a committee at Eisenhower Fellowships HQ in Philadelphia.
We send eight to ten high-achieving mid-career (aged 32-45) U.S. citizens abroad for individually designed programs in the country of their choice. Fellows are selected by blue-ribbon steering committees and are currently recruited from Philadelphia, Research Triangle North Carolina, New England (Boston), and St. Louis. At least one Fellow per year is selected for an agricultural fellowship, the only USA Eisenhower Fellowship currently available nationwide.
We challenge Fellows to identify concrete outcomes which they will undertake, and we track the results. Since our founding in 1953, nearly 2,000 outstanding world leaders have become Eisenhower Fellows who better the world around them through their individual actions as well as their collaborations within their countries and across national borders.
“When I came on board, I really wanted to start pivoting our business — particularly after the acquisition of the cable subscribers — to being back in that built world, making buildings and communities smarter with technology. We've honed that expertise of what it means to create impact and economic development within communities.”
