HealthVerity, founded in 2014, is led by two Philadelphia natives who made it a priority to build their company in the technology hub of Center City, Philadelphia. While raising multiple venture rounds, the most recent one being a $100 million Series D in 2021, HealthVerity has continued to reinvent itself to stay ahead of its long-established competitors.
HealthVerity was started because the healthcare industry needed a more accurate and reliable way to combine disparate datasets in a HIPAA-compliant manner to reveal patient insights and power innovation. Seeing the limitations in legacy technologies, HealthVerity believed that an entirely different approach was needed to address the nation’s most critical healthcare challenges. And so, HealthVerity built its business on the IPGE approach, synchronizing the foundational elements of Identity, Privacy, Governance and Exchange with our transformational technologies and the nation’s largest healthcare and consumer data ecosystem. This comprehensive, yet flexible approach, allows HealthVerity to provide unparalleled Identity management with built-in Privacy and Governance of data usage rights and permissions, powering the discovery and Exchange of a near limitless combination of data at a record pace.
This accurately and compliantly synchronized data, describing patient medical and lifestyle journeys, has become a magnet for top pharmaceutical and insurance companies, as well as government agencies.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers and government organizations have partnered with HealthVerity to solve some of their most complicated use cases through transformative technologies and real-world data infrastructure, using the IPGE approach to build more complete and accurate patient journeys and apply best-in-class analytics and applications with flexibility and ease.
At HealthVerity, our team has helped to solve some of the most complicated challenges with healthcare data, all while doubling in size — pivoting from a primarily Philadelphia-based team of 75 in 2019, to a distributed team of 240+ team members across 31 states. Caring for our culture as we grow is a top priority for our entire team. We all understand the importance of continuing to build relationships and trust so that creativity and innovation thrive, especially across our distributed team. Helping everyone to sync up in ways that meet their individual levels of comfort has been imperative. While our team is working and solving some of the most complex healthcare challenges, it is crucial that we create a culture where our teams feel connected and celebrated.
We are making a difference – Our technology is at the forefront of some of the biggest healthcare challenges in the world, and we have continued a strong and steady growth trajectory.
