Digital marketing firm Trellist, based in Wilmington, recently acquired Scribewise, a Philadelphia content marketing company. Our sister site Technical.ly Philly recently reported on the acquisition.
“The addition of Scribewise to the Trellist family creates and exciting opportunity for our company, for our customers, and for our shareholders,” Trellist CEO David Atadan said in a press release. “The team at Scribewise not only brings considerable expertise that will enable Trellist to provide high quality, journalistic content to enhance strategic marketing programs for our clients, but they’re analytical thinkers who solve problems creatively — just like we do.”
Scribewise’s current staff will become Trellist employees. Technical.ly Philly reports that employees will be able to work from Trellist’s Philadelphia Navy Yard office, or at a new office slated to open in Conshohocken or King of Prussia.

Who’s getting buzz?

Earlier this week, NBC 10 featured a story on Sanosil — a New Castle company we’ve previously profiled. Sanosil produces non-toxic, environmentally-friendly disinfecting biocides that can purify water, sanitize hospitals and reduce infections, among other uses. Now, the company is sending its foggers to Africa to help stop the spread of the Ebola virus.
Jon Brilliant, cofounder of Start It Up Delaware, was recently interviewed by Larry Mendte on The Delaware Way. Brilliant touched on The Loft, what 1313 Innovation is up to and Delaware players in tech and biotech.
According to a recent NBC News article, Delaware has the best broadband access in the U.S. The article cited a recent report from networking services company Akamai, which ranked the First State best in average speed, peak speed, connectivity and 4K readiness. Still, the report says, the U.S. as a whole falls behind East Asia and other countries.
