Wilmington was one of three Delaware municipalities recently named a “Downtown Development District.” The News Journal reports that Wilmington, along with Dover and Seaford, were recently designated by Gov. Jack Markell.
The three locations are entitled to development incentives and benefits, The News Journal reports.
The goal of the $7 million project is to spur investment and community development. These municipalities will submit grant applications to the Delaware State Housing Authority, which is administering the program.
