Earlier this summer, the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia and the team introduced Grow PA, an underwritten reporting series that aims to highlight economic development successes and trends in select counties across the Commonwealth.

We’ve learned a lot since launching: How Johnstown and Pittsburgh are working together to foster economic development between the two cities, how Blair County is attracting more and more millennials, what Montgomery County Community College is doing to be the regional hub for entrepreneurs and more.

It’s all part of an effort to share stories about what’s working for local Pennsylvania economies. Growth and innovation are happening in bits and pieces across the Commonwealth, but we must find a way to speed up that momentum.

Ultimately, these lessons should provide a shared plan for economic growth that will inform the 2018 gubernatorial race.

But first, we need the right people in the room.

That’s why, on Nov. 15, we’re organizing an event in Harrisburg that will convene civic and business leaders from across the state.

From 1:00–5:00 p.m. at Penn State Harrisburg, we’ll address our shared economic challenges, discuss viable solutions and develop a modern economic growth agenda for the Commonwealth.

Your participation is critical.
