In today’s encouraging, if laughable, news: Sussex County Council has left its 1990s technology behind in exchange for some more “modern” equipment.
The earth-shattering news is reported by local beach paper the Cape Gazette, which itself jests, “A ceremony may be in order marking the demise of the projector and pull-down portable screen that for years have been used to show images in Sussex County Council chambers.”
As the paper reports, staff can now use a smart tablet instead of relying on a projector and display boards and the podium has been updated to accommodate wheelchairs. Read more about how Sussex is attempting to get hip to the times below.
