The discovery by the blog’s publisher Carol Ott, whom we have covered, shows both the impressive longevity of vacant property malaise in Baltimore and the value of the digitization of news reports, in addition to how access to data can convey shortcomings by government and business.
The deeper issue here in this specific case is lack of market incentive for a company to do much of anything with that and the thousands of other properties like it in Baltimore.
