Cab drivers call for surveillance cameras after ‘tough and bloody’ year

Taxi drivers expressed their concerns at a meeting focused on driver safety held by the Philadelphia Parking Authority, which oversees taxis.

Philadelphia cab drivers called for surveillance cameras for protection after a “tough and bloody year,” PlanPhilly and the Philadelphia Daily News reported.

Taxi drivers expressed their concerns at a meeting focused on driver safety held by the Philadelphia Parking Authority, which oversees taxis. Drivers said that cabs equipped with video cameras linked to the police would improve their safety.
