If you live near or shop at Lexington Market, consider filling out this survey from Baltimore city government about the market’s redevelopment.
As the Baltimore Sun reported last April, the “Baltimore Public Market Corp., the quasi-public agency that runs Lexington Market and four other public markets in the city, wants a $20 million to $25 million renovation” Lexington Market, thinking redevelopment will draw “in a wider range of businesses to attract new and different kinds of customers.”

In November 2012, Lexington Market became the first of the city’s six historic public markets to have free WiFi installed, as Technical.ly Baltimore reported. The remaining five public markets received free WiFi in summer 2013, and the Mayor’s Office of Information Technology pays for the WiFi service at all of the city’s historic public markets.
