Rob McCord, the venture capitalist-turned-politician, plans to run for governor in the 2014 race, he announced yesterday. Seven other Democrats have already announced their candidacy, the Inquirer reported.
The state treasurer spent more than a decade in venture capital, first at Safeguard Scientifics and later at the Eastern Technology Council. It’s probably no coincidence that his one big idea for growing the regional tech scene is to bring more entrepreneurs into public office.
