One of the most active and dynamic organizations in Brooklyn, the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, announced yesterday that Regina Myer will be its new president.
“Regina will look at ways to build on Downtown Brooklyn’s recent success, and supplement it with supportive infrastructure, like the growth of the Brooklyn Cultural District and the increased open space development throughout the district,” the organization said in a statement.
One of Myer’s first public appearances will be to give the opening remarks at the 2016 Make It In Brooklyn Innovation Summit. Myer succeeds Tucker Reed as president of the organization, who moved on this summer after more than four years leading the organization.
Myer has been active in Brooklyn development for years, most recently as president of Brooklyn Bridge Park, which has developed from an unused and industrial waterfront space to a truly beautiful public park with basketball courts, soccer fields and a bike path.
Here’s wishing her success continues moving inland to the bustling Downtown Brooklyn.
