Maryland launched its open data portal in May, as Technical.ly Baltimore reported.
But the state has been faulted for being stingy with the government data it makes available, as well as being difficult to obtain information from.
Still, there are state-level open data resources available to developers — including a website where developers can request data sets they’d like to see on the state portal. Some of these resources were shared at October’s Civic Hacking Meetup by state officials.
See gb.tc‘s blog for a full list of websites shared.
