Follow Nutter’s UK/Israel trade mission on Tumblr

The mission has a stated tech focus, with more than a third of the 28 entrepreneurs that are part of the delegation running tech-related businesses.

Mayor Michael Nutter is in the midst of a ten-day trade mission in the United Kingdom and Israel. Follow along with his delegation on its official Tumblr. It’s a clever move for the administration, looking to craft its own narrative for the trade mission, which has received some criticism in the press (and comes among concerns that Philly’s Israeli consulate is closing).

The mission has a stated tech focus, with more than a third of the 28 entrepreneurs that are part of the delegation running tech-related businesses. Much of the news that’s come out of the trip so far also has a tech bent, like how Mark Group, the British efficient energy provider with local offices, plans to hire 30 more employees for its Navy Yard office and how U.K. tech company Guardian24 is opening its U.S. headquarters in the city.

Find a list of the entrepreneurs who are on the trip below, and find a full list of participating businesses here.
