If you’re after a job that makes a difference, here’s a career fair for you.
Next Tuesday, May 23 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in Old City, our sister site Generocity is hosting its second annual INTER/VIEW, the nonprofit and impact career fair answer to NET/WORK. (Do you follow our slash usage?)
The event is free.
Of the 15 organizations there, some will be familiar to a tech community (GIS firm Azavea and creative agency Think Company, both of which have a commitment for hiring mission-minded people, in addition to tech mentorship nonprofit Coded by Kids and STEM-focused charter String Theory Schools).
But others won’t be, though they’re at a scale that, like surging tech firms, they’re always hiring and looking for a range of roles, including ones that touch tech, design and project management. Think social services giant Resources for Human Development (one of Philadelphia’s largest nonprofits) or disability-focused nonprofit SPIN Inc. or Congreso, an anchor of the city’s Latino community since the 1970s.
