Lots of people will tell you that New Castle County is a good place to build a business. New Castle County wants to show you — via data, demographics and stats — why, and how you can make educated business decisions in the county.

The project, NCC Innovates, was unveiled at The Mill shortly before the Labor Day holiday with a demo by Tamarra Morris, director of the New Castle County Office of Economic Development. County Executive Matt Meyer, who discussed implementing the project even before he was elected in 2016, also spoke, sharing his experience as a young entrepreneur long before becoming an elected official.

Users who go to NCCInnovates.com will find a tool that will allow easy access to mapped-out data on everything from taxes to customer demographics, competition and even if a location you’re considering could be at risk of flooding.

Each portal explains why the topic matters and how to use the information, in addition to the info itself, and each report can be downloaded as a PDF.
