Delaware’s 2019 Pride Festival and Parade in Dover has passed (not uneventfully), but there are still plenty of ways to celebrate Pride month — including networking events that can connect you with members of the LGBTQ community and allies, both socially and professionally.
On Friday, June 14, Trolley Tap House in Trolley Square will host the Delaware Pride Networking Happy Hour from 4 to 7 p.m. This monthly event, featuring happy hour drink specials and the Tap House’s dog-friendly patio, is just one of Delaware Pride’s regular networking events open to members of the community year-round.
The Kent County Pride Happy Hour is also a monthly event; this month it’s happening on June 28 at Touchdowns on South DuPont Highway in Dover.
If you prefer meetings over coffee to happy hour networking, there’s this month’s Conversations with Caffeine on Sunday, June 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Kirkwood Highway Panera Bread.
If you’re more into meeting people over fun activities, know that Pride Bowl is a monthly event held at Bowlerama in New Castle the third Saturday of the month (that’s June 15 this month) from 7 to 9 p.m; Pride Cosmic Bowling in Middletown will be held at Mid County Lanes & The Family Fun Galaxy on June 22.
Here are some more upcoming Pride events in Delaware, from seminars to celebrations:
- Pride at Theatre N
- Milton Pride Week, in partnership with CAMP Rehoboth
- “What is SAGE (Services for Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Elders)?” at Bear Public Library, Wednesday, June 19, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- “Footprints in the Sand: Remembering Rehoboth’s Gay ’90s” at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library, Thursday, June 27, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
