This look at Baltimore open data shows the blocks (and fire hydrants) with the most parking tickets

Rice Injury Attorneys did a deep dive into parking citations.

If you park around Cross Street Market in Federal Hill, there’s a better chance of getting a ticket than anywhere else in the city.
That’s what Rice Injury Attorneys found in a new look at parking tickets using Baltimore’s open data. The firm lists the 50 blocks that saw the most tickets in 2016.

The block of Cross Street between Charles and Light Sts. racked up 3,400 parking citations. That produced $112,405 in fines (or revenue for the city, depending on viewpoint).
As always, the data presented additional opportunities for analysis beyond raw totals. The firm found that in 2016, parking tickets were most likely to show up on a windshield in the middle of the week, the peak time of day for ticketing was 11 a.m., Honda drivers were ticketed most often, a fire hydrant near Power Plant Live was the most likely to have a car parked too close — it goes on.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a look at parking citation data, but it presents some new takes on interpreting the data.
