Joe Biden has spent much of his post-VP time focused on economic opportunity and the future of Delaware (and the nation, as the 2020 election looms ahead), so it’s no wonder he agreed to be the keynote speaker at the Delaware Chamber of Commerce’s 181st Annual Dinner.
The Jan. 8 event at the Chase Center on the Riverfront features the big reveal of the prestigious Josiah Marvel Cup honoring an outstanding Delawarean. (Last year’s winner: philanthropist Carroll Carpenter.)
This fancy, high-level networking affair is considered the exclusive event for Delaware business elites, but it’s actually not that exclusive. The $275 ticket price ($350 if you’re not a member of the Chamber) is steep, but anyone can purchase one.
