Owners, managers and decision-makers from Delaware-based companies are encouraged to participate in ExporTech.
The workshop brings together experts from all sectors that affect the trade industry, including finance, manufacturing, legal services and logistics to help companies create an international growth plan.
The next session of the workshop will take place at the Small Business Development Center in Georgetown, beginning July 26. Because of the hands-on nature of the workshop, space is limited to just six companies. For more information, contact DEMEP at (302) 283-3131.
The program is organized by the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership of the National Institute of Standards and Technology with sponsorship from private companies, government agencies, the branch of the U. S. Department of Commerce focused on international trade and the World Trade Center Delaware.
Carla Stone, executive director of World Trade Center Delaware, said ExporTech is different from other workshop series in the Delaware technology community because it focuses solely on the companies’ international business needs.
“This is a comprehensive three-month program that includes three intensive classwork sessions, and one-to-one mentoring for each company by experts carefully matched to meet the company’s international business needs,” Stone said.
“At the end of the program, the companies are prepared to identify and meet many of the challenges presented in entering or expanding within the competitive global market,” Stone said via email. “Participants also become members of the World Trade Center Delaware, enabling them to further expand their international connections.”
