How does Delaware compare — both internally among its three counties and externally among other places in the region? How can the state best manage supply and demand for tech talent? And what defines an innovation in the workplace?
Representatives from companies, organizations and educational institutions across the state will come together on Oct. 8 for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce event Developing Delaware: Collaboration, Conversation, Innovation at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover.
The half-day event will feature a keynote by Gov. John Carney and a fireside chat on innovations in the workplace with Mark Brainard, president of Delaware Technical Community College, and Ron Painter, president and CEO of the National Association of Workforce Boards.
John Taylor, director of economic research for the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, will lead “Delaware by the numbers,” a data analysis of the state and the surrounding area.
And a panel titled “Tech Supply and Demand for Talent: Getting on the same page” will feature:
- Don Mell, JPMorgan Chase (moderator)
- Patrick Callihan, Tech Impact
- Betsy Goodell, Year Up
- Jennifer McDermott, JPMorgan Chase
- Marwan Rasamny, Delaware State University
- Levi Thompson, University of Delaware
- Kris Younger, Zip Code Wilmington
Admission is $45. Click here to register.
