Inspired to continue your socially responsible hacking after the 2016 National Day of Civic Hacking? You’re in luck — DCFemTech, D.C.’s consortium of women-in-tech groups, is holding its second annual Hack for Good hackathon on June 25-26 at the District’s Office of the CTO.
The two-day hackathon is not your average competitive event. Rather, the idea is to bring together coders and designers to work on projects that benefit a nonprofit or otherwise give back to the community.
As the events page puts it: “This is a different kind of hackathon. No competition, no award money; just bringing people together to learn, make connections, and build something awesome!”
