The Blue Rocks always have something fun going on at their Sunday games at Frawley Stadium, and this Sunday’s game against Myrtle Beach is no different, with pregame player autographs and an appearance by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — but it will also address a more serious issue: child safety, with a focus on cyberbullying.
Stopbullying.gov reports that about 21 percent of students ages 12-18 experience bullying nationwide.
The Beau Biden Foundation (BBF) will be on hand throughout Sunday’s game to create child ID kits for kids. After the game, a youth clinic will be held. According to the foundation:
Immediately following the game, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation will be hosting a one hour baseball/softball themed clinic for 100 youth facilitated by local law enforcement mentors. Mentors will be interacting with youth through a series of stations such as outfield, hitting, Quickball, and a law enforcement presentation.
