American Israel Business Lab is a Navy Yard based effort to connect Israeli based tech startups with American expansions, specifically Philadelphia.
To do that, the two men behind the effort since its launch this summer, will be making a trip to Tel Aviv to meet and court with friends, contacts and others to encourage the transition, said Brett Goldman to Technically Philly.
Their trip is getting institutional backing:
The $10,000 initiative started with a $3,407 Regional Investment Marketing Grant from Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development that Select Greater Philadelphia has matched.
US Airways has agreed to provide round-trip tickets for Schulz and Goldman to attend the highly regarded International Water, Renewable Energy, and Environmental Protection Trade Fair in Tel Aviv the week of Nov. 14.
