Propel is hiring for a senior software developer.

The for-profit app that helps people navigate the paperwork-laden world of food stamps just received a $4 million round of seed funding this spring, including investments from the rapper Nas and basketball star Kevin Durant’s Durant Company. And also Andreessen Horowitz.

Civil is looking for a head of blockchain and cryptoeconomics.

Civil is a Brooklyn-based startup that plans to build newsrooms built on the blockchain. Headed by Matthew Iles, the company plans to raise a $2.5 million seed round this fall and then issue an ICO for an as-yet-unspecified amount.

Venture firm Urban.Us has more than 45 positions open in its portfolio companies.

The new to New York venture firm based in Greenpoint will announce the new members of its cohort at Urban-X later this month.

That the Dumbo crafts marketplace is hiring again should be some good news for the company, which had a rough summer, firing its CEO, CTO, more than 100 of its workers and most of its interns.

Voodoo Manufacturing is looking for a lead robotic automation engineer.

Building robots, it would seem, is the new frontier in how to make 3D printing work. The young company just raised $5 million and is looking to turn the industry on its head.
