Earlier this year, we had the chance to sit in a workshop on virtual reality for the web led by Datavized, the Williamsburg-based company that makes VR data visualizations. The company’s goal: to make VR, whose equipment can be quite expensive, more accessible to the general public.

The Made in NY Media Center by IFP, where the class was held, is offering Datavized’s workshop again next Thursday, Aug. 24. According to its Facebook post, the center is bringing it back “by popular demand.” (The post includes a link to our past coverage.) The workshop, which runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., costs $150. Members of the center get a discounted rate of $100.

In June, Datavized was chosen as part of the first cohort of Play Labs @ MIT, an accelerator with emphasis upon virtual and augmented reality, online gaming and sports. The accelerator just held its demo day on Tuesday, so perhaps the Datavized team will have some fresh entrepreneurial insights to share alongside tips on coding in A-Frame.
