Some of the borough’s top experts and investors in cryptocurrencies will be hanging out Wednesday, Aug. 2 and you’re welcome to join.

Coinfund, a Williamsburg-based cryptocurrency investment fund is organizing the enticingly-named 17Q3 happy hour at 7 p.m. at the bar Spritzenhaus.

Cryptocurrencies have been in the news nearly nonstop recently. A run up in the value of them in currency markets has led to a 1,400 percent increase in the price of Ether, the token of the Ethereum blockchain.

This week, the SEC announced it will consider regulating the markets as securities.

There will certainly be plenty to talk about.
