Brooklyn Bridge Ventures founder Charlie O’Donnell has been vocal about his feelings on the election of Donald Trump. But disdain need not be an end in itself, and there are lessons to be learned from how the president-elect is moving toward his new role as Commander-in-Chief. Being President is not so different from being a CEO and being a CEO is something O’Donnell knows about.
On Monday, O’Donnell published a piece on his personal site entitled Five Lessons Founders Can Learn from Donald Trump. Here they are:
1) Get to work.
2) Hire people who create confidence, not the people you already happen to know.
3) Stay positive.
4) Being a CEO isn’t that glamorous.
5) Don’t surround yourself with “Yes” people.
