Watch out Car2Go — BMW is on your tail

The luxury car company is bringing its ReachNow car-sharing service to Brooklyn.

Competition in the tiny, ownerless, shared car market is heating up in Brooklyn with the announcement that BMW will bring its ReachNow service to Brooklyn.
The Verge is reporting that ReachNow will operate in much the same manner as Car2Go and Zipcar, and will start with a fleet of 250 BMW 3 Series and Mini Clubman vehicles.
As with the two established services, users will be able to find available cars near them on an app, reserve them and unlock the car with a code sent to them. ReachNow is currently in Seattle and Portland, so, of course, the next reasonable market would be Brooklyn.
