If you’ve been curious about checking out some of Brooklyn’s tech hubs, next weekend is a good time to start. The annual Open House New York weekend, which offers architectural tours across all five boroughs, is happening on October 15 and 16, and this year’s participants include plenty of tech-related venues throughout Brooklyn, from design to manufacturing to urban farming.

Among the featured venues is A/D/O, the new design center in Greenpoint, which will serve as the headquarters for “smart cities” accelerator Urban-X. There will also be tours of several spaces that normally restrict access, such as the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Gowanus Bay Terminal. (For another chance to explore the Navy Yard, check out 1776’s upcoming open house.) Participants can also get a sneak peek of the Pier 5 uplands at Brooklyn Bridge Park, which is currently under construction.

Other destinations include the Brooklyn Army Terminal, the Made in NY Media Center and the Newtown Creek Wildflower Roof.

You can check out the full list of participating locations at the Open House New York site. Many locations are open access, but some require advance registration and a $5 admission fee. (Quite a few, alas, are already sold out.)
