Take a 360 tour through this Eyebeam art show

Is this the future of live events? Maybe not a good replacement, but pretty cool if you missed it.

Is the future of art shows virtual tours?
Probably not entirely, but Industry City-based avant-tech artspace Eyebeam shows that you can get a decent view of a show you might have missed or otherwise not have experienced with the release of a 360-degree interactive video tour of its spring show, To Scale.

The idea for the show was to view things from different perspectives, so, get it … 360 video.

“Whether shifting scale through physical size, optical resolution, biological complexity or political organizing, they show that reality can seem totally different depending on context or even viewpoint,” Eyebeam explained. “The world is not flat, but round like a lens.”

The show ran May 14-26, but now you’ll be able to explore it from every angle on your own time for as long as you want or until the soil crumbles and the sun swallows the Earth and the YouTube servers go down.
