Nerds, our weekend plans just got a whole lot more interesting!
The map masters of Bushwick, CartoDB, are holding a three-day science and space hackathon from Friday to Sunday.
“Science Hack Day brings together designers, developers, scientists, and other geeks in the same physical space for a brief but intense period of collaboration, hacking and building cool stuff,” according to CartoDB. “The mission of Science Hack Day is to get excited and make things with science! By collaborating on focused tasks during this short period, small groups of hackers are capable of producing remarkable results.”
Friday night there will be a mixer at CartoDB’s headquarters where people will share ideas and create teams. Saturday and Sunday are all about hacking (you’re welcome to sleep over at CartoDB) and Sunday afternoon are the awards and prizes.
