Last night was a special night for the moon.
It was at its yearly perigee, which coincided with a partial lunar eclipse.
If you’ve been conscious at all this weekend, you probably know that the next time that will happen won’t be till 2033.
In honor of the moon’s big night, we present to you the 10 best pics from local Instagrammers:
✨V I C T O R Y✨ Well after many attempted plans fell through I ended up back in my neighborhood for the eclipse tonight. I was looking around for something to pose it with and I came up with the ornamental columns at the entrance to Prospect Park. A little cheesy maybe but at least it's something… ???Hope you all had a great weekend. Also, thanks to all of my followers for putting me over the 10K mark. I'm not of the opinion that numbers of followers are irrelevant. With some exceptions (!) each one is a human being (to me anyways) and therefore not unimportant! I am honored that so many real people like my work and have encouraged me to do more. And that you put up with my corny sense of humor too! So thanks, every single one of you. I really am grateful! ✨✌️?✨ Camera: Nikon D7000 Lens: Nikkor 18-105 @ 98mm ISO: 500 Aperture: F7.1 Exposure: 2.5s NEF (RAW) format Post-processing/Edit: Lightroom, PS Mobile, Snapseed ✨??????✨ #eclipse #lunareclipse #moon #bloodmoon #supermoon #ny #nyc #newyork #newyorkcity #nycprimeshot #brooklyn #nightshooters #nightphotography #prospectpark #parkslope #igtravel #ig_nycity #ig_captures #igworldclub #rsa_light #rsa_streetview #icapture_nyc #nbc4ny #what_i_saw_in_nyc #world_shotz
