Two local sellers of real stuff each hit $1M in investment [Startup Roundup]

New investment rounds for familiar startups in this space, Mouth and Susty Party; new shows on our local food podcasting network; and messaging site "lettrs" lands in Williamsburg.

Who’s getting money?

Ecommerce artisanal food purveyor Mouth Foods’ previous round more than doubled to $1.11 million on an offered $1.25 million, according to an amended SEC filing.

Susty Party will soon close a second investment round, of $500,000, at a $6 million valuation, according to an interview with its founders. This brings total investment in the company to $1 million.

Who’s making moves?

We first encountered lettrs at New York Tech Day, but at that time it was still a startup without a home. The company has confirmed via email that it has settled on a home in Williamsburg. It’s an app for writing people letters with all sorts of built-in design elements to it, like funky backgrounds (star-filled skies and such). Available on Google Play, iOS and Amazon. The company just announced a writing contest via Instagram.

Heritage Radio Network announced six new shows via its email list: Eating Matters, Pizza Party, Native, Mama Coco’s Funky Kitchen, Roberta’s Radio and PUNCH Radio. We said those were coming in this piece from last month.

Who’s getting buzz?

Here’s a Q&A with one of Susty Party’s cofounders, Jessica Holsey, on Harvard Green.
