Brooklyn Tech Triangle U wants hackathon mentors to connect college kids

Mentor a team of college age makers through an April app hackathon.

Any college students interested in learning about coding will have a chance this April to join teams paired with experienced designers and developers, build a functional app and present it to area companies, win prizes and network.

Stela Xhiku at mobile app shop Tendigi told Technically Brooklyn in an email, “The goal is to bridge the gap between local colleges and the tech community in the spirit of engagement and innovation.  With the theme of “Connecting the Brooklyn Tech Triangle,” students will build a fully functional app with help from their mentors.”

Right now, though, what’s needed are mentors to volunteer for this hackathon. Tendigi and the Brooklyn Tech Triangle are teaming up to look for the right talent to help these young hackers.

The hackathon will run the weekend of April 25 to April 27th, location TBD. It will be part of “Brooklyn Tech Triangle U.”

The hackathon was announced at the Brooklyn iOS Developers Meetup. Look for a full announcement of all the event details in March.
