VC Fred Wilson supports Park Slope’s chess playing schoolkids

Notable early stage tech investor Fred Wilson, a principal of Union Square Ventures and an Etsy board member, says that chess teaches kids positive values.

He’s gotten into the habit of backing schools that need money to send promising students to chess tournaments, and the latest school he is supporting in that way is an elementary and middle school in Park Slope. You can read more about it on his blog.
