Blockful, Pensa and gMax all product shipping [Startup Roundup]

This week, we see startups that ship, at various stages in the process.

Who’s getting money?

If you have an idea for improving the environment in Greenpoint, you could get some money to do it from the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Funded by an oil spill settlement, applications are due Dec. 18, though if your organization is for-profit you’ll need a fiscal sponsor or you’ll need to serve as a nonprofit’s subcontractor.

Serial inventors, Pensa, celebrated eight years in business and its new DIWire crowdfunding campaign last week.

The gMax 3D printer whose Kickstarter we covered has already delivered a couple completed printers. They put up a post detailing how far they have come to complete all orders. Also, the shop now has a kitten.

Who’s getting Buzz?

PlayAR‘s Mark Skwarek helped NYU-Poly make a giant augmented reality spider that crawled around its buildings, as a kickoff event for CSAW, the security event we covered earlier this week. PlayAR is has 24 days to go on its Kickstarter campaign, which recently got featured on the Discovery Channel.
