The Chasen Companies is opening a new 24/7 coworking space in Fells Point at Eastern Ave. building The Madison. It’s the second location of Vision, a coworking concept that launched in 2019 with a location in Federal Hill.

The commercial property developer is expanding after seeing an increase in demand for coworking spaces amid the pandemic, including at its Federal Hill location.

“Over the last year, we have seen demand rapidly increase for shared, yet socially-distant workspace,” Drew Peace, head of business development at Chasen Companies, said in a statement.  “Offices at Vision Federal Hill have been 100% occupied with a waitlist for months.”

The company noticed an uptick in demand for their Federal Hill coworking space a few weeks after the start of the pandemic last March.

“After a few weeks of working among roommates and family members at the kitchen table, many people were looking for a space to go to on a regular basis where they could be productive,” Peace said in response to follow-up questions.

The new space is on the ground floor of The Madison, located at 1617 Eastern Avenue in Baltimore.

The space has 14 glass-partitioned private offices and six private desks. It also has two lounge areas, a conference room, a kitchenette and a private phone booth. The space will be deep cleaned three times a week, with all common areas and frequently touched surfaces wiped down throughout the day, Peace said.
