Nominate an outstanding dev for the inaugural Baltimore RealLIST Engineers

Technical.ly is honoring community members who show technical aptitude, community leadership and collaborative practices. Tell us: Who's "real" in your orbit?

In the Technical.ly newsroom, we often ask each other: “Are they ~real~?”

For us, “real” means serious, committed, influential. When we curate our community informed by years of reporting, we call the resulting reporting a RealLIST. In the past that’s exclusively referred to startups on the rise — see Baltimore’s such list for 2019 here.

In fall 2019, Technical.ly will introduce its inaugural ReaLIST Engineers, a curated list of influential software developers and technologists building in Baltimore.

The Technical.ly RealLIST Engineers are among the most influential software developers, architects and technologists impacting their companies and communities. This is a list of the doers — those who commit code, solve problems and build solutions. We’re looking for some who are established and others who are below the radar.

The first honorary RealLIST Engineers will be celebrated at an event during Baltimore Innovation Week on Wednesday, Oct. 9. That night, we’ll also be celebrating the winners of the sixth annual Technical.ly Baltimore Awards. (More on that later.)

So, how does one get on the RealLIST? First, they get nominated, then all submissions will be vetted by a panel of technologists. In the form below, tell us how the person in mind is influential within their organization or community; how they overcame a specific technical challenge; how this person contributes to educating others on technical issues; and the like.

Note that multiple nominations will not increase the likelihood of being included. And yes, you can nominate yourself. Have at it:
