Bridges recently moved to a new headquarters in Hanover, Md., as the cyber and big data firm as it looks to continue growth.

The 18-year-old company moved about four miles from its former location in Annapolis Junction. Bridges aimed to introduce more collaborative areas as well as a modern design with the new space, according to company leaders. The company invested $1 million in the space, working with JLL, Arris Design and Hersick+Webster.

“The new facility offers new gathering spaces, collaboration areas, innovation centers, and workspaces to draw in our
employees, customers, recruits, and prospective customers,” said COO Rick Villareal.

Among the new features, an innovation lab offers an isolated space to test and experiment with new software or devices. Along with 30 offices, there are varied spaces to work such as a lounge, huddle room and window benches.

The company also sought to create gathering space to bring the community in. Near community space centered on the kitchen, there’s more space to host a Lunch ‘N Learn series where participants are invited from inside and outside the community for insights from government and industry leaders.

The new office comes as the company is expecting to add employees. Bridges works with a mix of federal government and private clients. Marketing Director Sarah Woods said the firm is adding to its recruiting team ahead of expected hiring. The company currently has about 30 employees at the headquarters, and employs more than 100 more who are colocated onsite with clients.

The office move comes around the same time the firm picked up Best of Anne Arundel County at last week’s Maryland Cybersecurity Awards.
