ETC said seven startups will enter its latest cohort for Accelerate Baltimore.
This year, the size of the cohort increased by one company after ETC narrowed down a larger list of 22 finalists than in the past. In all, ETC received 120 applications for the program.
“The quality of this year’s applicants was striking and as a result, the Abell Foundation was generous enough to allow us to increase the total to seven companies in Accelerate Baltimore’s seventh cohort,” said ETC President Deb Tillett.
Now the companies will start a 13-week program that offers weekly sessions to help entrepreneurs build their business, connections to mentors and space at the Highlandtown incubator. The companies each receive $25,000, via funding from the Abell Foundation. At its pitch night in June, one company will get an additional $100,000.
Here are the companies in the 2018 cohort, per ETC:
At Night Athletic, makers of athletic apparel with built-in LED lights and safety features, as well as a mobile app.
ClearMask, a startup developing a transparent surgical mask that covers the full face, founded by Johns Hopkins students.
Fleet by MasT,  a platform for member-based organizations that helps with operations and engagement.
IsItGood , a platform for podcasts helping users keep up with what their friends are listening to and find their next favorite podcast.
Minnowtech, developer of an app and phone attachment that provides fishers with measurement and analysis of their catch.
Sonavi Labs, maker of a smart stethoscope with diagnostic tools that allow for home and remote patient monitoring.
Well-Kept Beauty: a mobile app that tracks ingredients and expiration of cosmetics to help ingredient-conscious consumers manage their skin health.
