Aluminum manufacturing company Constellium is moving US corporate offices to Baltimore

Aluminum manufacturing company Constellium US Holdings is relocating its corporate offices from New York to Baltimore.
The move will result in an office with at least 25 employees, all of whom must be in place in Baltimore by the end of 2018, Mayor Catherine Pugh said.
“These are supposed to be great jobs,” Pugh said. “The company expects to host in Baltimore quarterly meetings with attendants of up to 50 people from Europe and the United States.”
The choice came down to Baltimore and Connecticut, and Baltimore ultimately won out due to a $150,000 loan offered by the city, affordability of office space and proximity to the airport.
Constellium, which is based in Amsterdam, makes aluminum products that are used by car manufacturers, as well as the aerospace and defense industries. The company’s website lists two dozen plants in Europe and the U.S.
According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the offices for the company’s senior management team will be located at 300 E. Lombard St.
