Although we’re far from slowing down, we’d like to tighten this ship up. After the calendar jumped from 57 events in 2015 to 69 events in 2016, we heard the same feedback from a large part of the community: “Too many events.”
We listened! The Baltimore Innovation Week 2017 community calendar will be curated and capped at 55 events to encourage collaboration.
With a curated calendar comes a new approval process for submitting a BIW event:
- Submit your event proposal with at least two time slots as options.
- Wait for our response.
- Follow further instructions to get your event live on baltimoreinnovationweek.com
If you’re still looking for ideas on what to start planning or who you can assist, join our #BIW17 Event Organizer Slack Chat happening Wednesday, August 9, for 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Not a member of our public Slack? Click below to sign up, and make sure to join the “Baltimore” channel.
For all you need to know, trust the Baltimore Innovation Week 2017 Event Organizer Rules & Guidelines. This document is full of every BIW event organizing detail we could fit, and it’s always being updated!
This year’s Baltimore Innovation Week is Sept. 29-Oct. 7. The updated BIW site is live! Stay tuned to check out the amazing events that are sure to make this the best Baltimore Innovation Week yet.
