JHU grad’s startup is finalist in Cisco competition

Recent Johns Hopkins grad Adegoke Olubusi is working to help hospitals in West Africa go from paper to digital record-keeping.
According to the JHU Hub, Olubusi is developing a platform called OneMedical that can help hospitals simplify record keeping and allow tracking of finances and supplies. They realized it required more than just replicatin what’s being done in the U.S. For instance, the system can run offline, and connects to the cloud when an internet connection is available.
Olubusi is already setting up partnerships with hospitals and clinics in Africa.

The startup is also one of 15 finalists in the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge. The competition is giving away $300,00 spread between various prizes. Voting for the people’s choice is open through June 28.
